Skin Test Policy

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients, all new clients are required to have a patch test at least 48 hours between treatments for any appointment involving:

Hair colouring

Brow or lash tint

Lash Lift

Lash extensions

Microblading / Powder Brows

🕒 Patch tests take approximately 10 minutes and are completely free of charge.
👤 Please note: Clients must be aged 16 or over.

What does the patch test involve?
When you arrive at the salon, we will apply a small amount of the relevant product to the crease of your forearm. A skin test is required at least 48 hours before any chemical services.
You will also be asked to sign a consent form confirming your understanding and agreement.
That’s it — simple and quick!

What if I have a reaction?

If you experience redness, itching, or swelling, we recommend taking an antihistamine (if suitable).
If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice immediately and inform us of your reaction.

Why is a patch test necessary?

Patch tests are a vital safety measure. Some salon products may cause allergic reactions, which in rare cases can be severe or even life-threatening. These quick, preventative tests ensure your treatment is safe, enjoyable, and stress-free.

When will I need another patch test?

You’ll need to be re-tested if:

You’ve received treatment at another salon

It’s been 6 months or more since your last appointment

You’ve had a tattoo, semi-permanent makeup, or used black henna since your last patch test
